The East Africa Development forum is an annual meeting hosted by the East Africa Association for Development and Research. The forum is a multi-stakeholder platform for debating, discussing and initiating concrete strategies and policies for the development of countries in the East African Region. Its main aim is to showcase the current and future challenges, opportunities and the alternative ways which the immense natural resources of the region could be exploited effectively, also it displays policy advices for institutional building, good governance, youth empowerment and poverty reduction.

The forum brings together a large number of stakeholders who are directly or indirectly involved in the issue of development including Heads of States and Governments, African member states policy makers, friendly partners as Turkey and Turkish institutions, other development partners, other United Nations Agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations.
