Turkey sends coronavirus aid to Somalia

 Turkey dispatched a medical aid to Somalia on Friday, as a party of its efforts to show solidarity and help countries to win their battle against the novel Covid19.

Turkey’s aid is the largest one received by Somalia since 16 March when the Somali government declared the discovery of the first Coronavirus case in Somalia.

In line with its policy of helping countries in need, also Turkey has dispatched aid to Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Kosovo, as well as Libya, Italy, and Spain, among others.

The pandemic has killed 160,000 people and infected some 2.3 million, while over 570,000 have recovered from the disease.
